Will my contact details be saved?

Yes. We currently save the contact details of all guests when you purchase tickets (first and last names, full postal or email address, telephone number). This is to allow the health authorities to rapidly trace people in the event of a possible infection with COVID-19 and to interrupt chains of infection without delay. If you are purchasing tickets for other people, please also provide their details. Tickets can be transferred to other people free of charge by calling our ticket hotline (+49 30-2326 2327) or via email ([email protected]).

Can I return or change tickets due to illness or other similar reasons?

The FlexTicket option we’re currently offering for free due to the pandemic means you are able to change tickets to another date or to transfer them to another person at no extra charge. Please note that tickets can only be transferred by telephone – simply call our ticket hotline (+49 30-2326 2327).

This applies for all tickets booked up until 31 December 2021.

Please also call our ticket hotline (+49 30-2326 2327) or send us an email ([email protected]) to change your tickets if you feel unwell or have cold symptoms in the days leading up to your visit to the Palast.

What are the box office’s business hours?

Open Monday to Friday from 1 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Our theater box office is located to the right of the main entrance of the Palast.

Does the Palast have air conditioning?

Yes, it does. So the temperature inside the theatre hall always remains constant. What’s more, when the temperature outside rises above 28°C, we provide free water for guests in the foyer.

Are discounts available?

Yes, we offer discounts for children, students, apprentices, jobseekers, benefits recipients and guests aged 65+. We also grant discounts for guests with disabilities as well as for berlinpass and Ehrenamtskarte (honorary card) holders.

I purchased my tickets online but haven’t yet received a confirmation email. What can I do?

Please check if the confirmation email was accidentally marked as spam (in your spam folder). If you are unable to find the confirmation email, please call us at +49 30-2326 2327 so that we can confirm your purchase.

How long does the shipping of my tickets take?

The shipping of tickets may take up to one week. If your tickets do not arrive in time, they may be reissued for you at the box office. There will be no repeated attempt to ship your tickets if the initial shipping did not succeed.

I lost my tickets, what can I do?

In the event that a guest loses his or her ticket, a replacement ticket may be issued at the pay desk if the guest can show credibly what kind of ticket he or she had purchased. The original ticket holder takes priority over the holder of a replacement ticket.

How do I get to the Palast using public transportation?

Where can I park my car?

Parking spaces are available directly outside the Palast (on Johannisstraße, at the corner of Kalkscheunenstraße) from 1 hour before the start of the performance (for in-house events only). These spaces can be booked in advance online or by calling our ticket hotline +49-30-2326 2327. A fee of 6 euros applies. The nearest multi-storey car park (70 public spaces, open 24 hours) is just 250 metres from the theatre’s main entrance at Reinhardtstraße 27a (ApartHotel Residenz Am Deutschen Theater). Please note that the automated pay terminal only accepts Maestro cards!

How do I reserve a handicapped parking space?

Handicapped parking spaces are located to the left side of the building and may be reserved by calling +49-30-2326 2327.

Which restaurants would you recommend before or after visiting a show?

Before the show starts, our guests can already order drinks and meals at one of the attractively lit bars and be served during intermission at a table of their choice. A visit to “La Diva,” Palast’s restaurant, bar and lounge is also highly recommended. Classic yet modern, it features chic design touches and a cozy and tasteful atmosphere. Why not combine exclusive private dining and high-quality menus with an extraordinary show experience. We kindly ask business clients or larger parties to contact the location manager beforehand (we can accommodate up to 2,000 persons for gala events and banquets):

At what time do doors open and how long is the show?

Doors open one hour before the show begins. The show runs for almost two hours and 30 minutes, including a 25-minute intermission.

Is Wi-Fi available at the Palast?

Yes, complimentary Wi-Fi is available in the foyer and theatre hall. Simply log into Facebook to access the network.

What are the age recommendations?

The recommended minimum age for the Grand Show is 8 years. Children under the age of 6 will not be admitted.

The recommended minimum age for the kids’ show is 5 years. Children under the age of 3 will not be admitted.

Can I bring the kids?

Children aged 6+ are very welcome at our Grand Shows. Our kids’ shows are suitable for children aged 3+.

Is the show also suitable for foreign guests?

Our Grand Shows are great for international guests as, unlike musicals, revue shows do not have a classic storyline. This means that there aren’t any spoken texts to understand – so anyone can enjoy the show.

Can I take food and drinks into the theatre hall?

We ask for your understanding that the narrow seating rows mean that food and drinks cannot be taken into the theatre hall. Food and drinks are available at the bars in the foyer before the show as well as during the interval.

Is there a dress code?

No, there isn’t any dress code. Please feel free to wear whatever you feel comfortable in. Whether that is smart evening wear or a comfortable top and trousers is entirely up to you. Please do respect this special occasion though – tracksuits and trainers are not appropriate!

Do I have to use the cloakroom and how much does it cost?

Coats, jackets, backpacks, suitcases and bags of more than 45x40x20 cm in size may not be taken into the theatre hall and must therefore be stored in the cloakroom.

Are photos, filming and recordings permitted during events?

Due to various copyrights (e.g. for the lighting design, costumes and scenery), photos, video and sound recordings are not permitted during performances. Photos and videos may only be taken for private purposes during the final applause.

Is the Palast accessible to people with disabilities?

The Palast was opened in 1984 when access for people with disabilities was unfortunately not yet foreseen in all areas. Today, access to the Palast is very good and people with disabilities are able to access most areas of the theatre. Four wheelchair spaces are available in the theatre hall. An induction loop allows guests with impaired hearing to also experience the show acoustics. Please do not hesitate to contact us to discuss the optimal seating arrangements for your visit.
