Getting there

When planning your travel to the Palast, please be aware that due to various events and construction activities, traffic in Berlin city area can be impaired and your journey might take more time. For more information, please click here.

The Palast can be easily reached by public transport.

U-Bahn (metro)
Line U6, directly at U Oranienburger Tor


Friedrichstraße station (S1, S2, S25, S26, S3, S5, S7, S9 and regional rail transport), five minutes by foot
Oranienburger Straße station (S1, S2, S25, S26), five minutes by foot


Line 147, get off at Friedrichstraße/Reinhardtstraße
Line 142, get off at Torstraße/U Oranienburger Tor


Lines M1 and 12, get off at U Oranienburger Tor
Line M5, get off at S Oranienburger Straße, five minutes by foot

Traveling by car

Parking spaces are available directly outside the Palast (on Johannisstraße, at the corner of Kalkscheunenstraße) from 1 hour before the start of the performance (for in-house events only). These spaces can be booked in advance online or by calling our ticket hotline +49-30-2326 2327. A fee of 6 euros applies.

The nearest multi-storey car park (70 public spaces, open 24 hours) is just 250 metres from the theater’s main entrance at Reinhardtstraße 27a (ApartHotel Residenz Am Deutschen Theater). Please note that the automated pay terminal only accepts Maestro cards!

At the Palast

Doors open one hour before the start of the show. Please note that you are able to order drinks and snacks for the interval at the bar before the show starts. Allowing you to avoid lengthy queues during the interval.


The doors to the pleasantly air-conditioned theatre hall open at 7:10 p.m. for evening performances and at 3:10 p.m. for afternoon performances. Including the 25-minute interval, the show lasts approx. 2.5 hours.


Complimentary Wi-Fi is available on Claire-Waldoff-Platz outside the theater box office (network: _Free_Wifi_Berlin) as well as in the foyer and theater hall (network: Mein-Palast).
