ventilation
The ventilation system that we had installed in 2020 meets the latest technical standards. It exchanges all of the air in the theatre hall with fresh air up to eight times per hour. Integrated probes monitor the ambient air quality and continuously take measurements to ensure that its quality remains virtually the same as that of the fresh air outdoors (below 500 ppm on average).
The concentration of aerosols is thus reduced to a minimum – and this in turn minimises the risk of infection with Covid-19, flu and other respiratory diseases.
The TÜV technical inspection body has awarded the Palast its quality seal for infection control for its ventilation system. A report by the German theatre technical society (DTHG) published in November 2022 also confirmed a “minimal risk of infection” during a two-hour stay in our theatre hall, even at full capacity with 1,900 guests.
seal of quality
In 2021, we were awarded the TÜV quality seal for our Covid-19 hygiene policy. Our theatre therefore meets all of the requirements for health protection and hygiene measures. Ensuring our guests a safe show visit.
In October 2022, the TÜV reviewed our hygiene measures and extended the quality seal’s validity to 2023.
IN THE FOYER
We do everything we can to ensure that our guests and employees enjoy a safe show experience.
The foyer and theatre hall can only be accessed with a valid ticket. Service staff are stationed at all entrances to check tickets (also during performances and in the interval).
All guests must pass through the security gates at the theatre entrances (even when coming back inside, e.g. after smoking). The detectors are also safe for guests with a pacemaker but can be bypassed upon presentation of a pacemaker pass.
The Palast reserves the right to have the backpacks and bags of individual or all guests checked by trained service staff in guests’ presence.
“Coats, jackets, backpacks, suitcases and bags of more than 45x40x20 cm in size must be stored in the cloakroom (free of charge).
We highly recommend that you always keep personal items such as keys and wallets on your person.”
